What is Subject?
- Subject is person/people/thing(s) that do the activity.

  • i
  • you
  • they
  • we
  • she
  • he
  • it
What is Verb?
- Verb is word to describe an action, state or occurren, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence.

Action Verb
  • Also know as MAIN VERB
  • Action verb are words that express action (give, eat, walk, etc.) or possession (have, own, etc.)
  • Action verb can be either transitive (with object ) or intransitive (without object).
example;
- He plays basket ball every thursday night.

Lingking Verb
- A lingking verb connects the subject of a sentence to a noun or adjective that renames or describes the subject.

1. To Be: is, am, are, was, were.
 Example:
 I am batman.

2. Verb: seem, appear, become, grow, remain, get, prove, turn, look, sound, smell, taste, feel.
Example:

HELPING VERBS
Helping verbs are used before action or linking verbs to convey additional information regarding aspects of possibility (can, could, etc.) or time (was, did, has, etc.)
1.      MODALS always function as Helping Verbs.
2.      MODALS : can, could, may, might, shall, will, ought to, should, would.
Examples:

MAIN RULE OF  “Subject Verb Agreement”
Only the subject affects the verb.

RULE 1
Subjects and verbs must agree in number. This is the cornerstone rule that forms the background of the concept.
Example:
- The cat growls when it is confused
- The cat growl when they are confused

RULE 2
Don’t get confused by the words that come between the subject and verb; they do not affect agreement.
Example:
-The dog, who is chewing on my jeans, is usually very good.

RULE 3
Prepositional phrases between the subject and verb usually do not affect agreement.
Example:
- The flower of the rainbow are beautiful.

RULE 4
When sentences start with “there” or “here,” the subject will always be place dafter the verb, so care needs to be taken to identify it correctly.
Example:
- There is a problem with the balance sheet. Here are the papers you requested.

RULE 5
If two subjects are joined by and, they typically require a plural verb form.
Example:
- Febry and Wahyu are jumping over the mall.

RULE 6
The verb is singular if the two subjects separated by and refer to the same person or thing.
Example:
- Bakso and takoyaki is my dad's favorite dish.

RULE 7
If one of the words each, every, or no comes before the subject, the verb singular.
Example:
- No eating or drinking is allowed.

RULE 8
If the subjects are both singular and are connected by the words or, nor, neither/nor, either/or, and not only/but also the verb is singular.
Example:
- Kenta or Nopia is to blame for the accident.

RULE 9
The only time when the object of the preposition decides plural or singular verb forms is when noun and pronoun subjects like some, half, none, more, all, etc. are followed by a prepositional phrase. In these sentences, the object of the preposition determines the form of the verb.
Example:
- All of the teacher is gone.
- All of the teachers are gone.

RULE 10
The singular verb form is usually used for units of measurement or time.
Example:
- Four quarts of oil was required to get the car running.

RULE 11
If the subjects are both plural and are connected by the words or, nor, neither/nor, either/or, and not only/but also, the verb is plural.
Example
- Dogs and cats are both available at the pound.

RULE 12
If one subject is singular and one plural and the words are connected by the words or, nor, neither/nor, either/or, and not only/but also, you use the verb form of the subject that is nearest the verb.
Example:
- Either the cat or the elephant has escaped from the zoo.
- Neither the elephant nor the cat have escaped from the zoo.

RULE 13
Indefinite pronouns (everything, anything, everyone, someone, somebody, nothing, etc) typically take singular verbs.
Example:
- Everybody wants to be loved.

RULE 14
Except for the pronouns (few, many, several, both, all, some) that always take the plural form.
Example:
- Few were left alive after the tsunami.

RULE 15
If two infinitives are separated by and they take the plural form of the verb.
Example:
-To walk and to chew gum require great skill.

RULE 16
When gerunds are used as the subject of a sentence, they take the singular verb form of the verb; but, when they are linked by and, they take the plural form.
Example:
- Playing football and playing piano are my hobbies.

RULE 17
Collective nouns like family, committee, herd, senate, class, crowd, etc. usually take a singular verb form.
Example:
- The herd is stampeding.

RULE 18
Titles of books, movies, novels, etc. are treated as singular and take a singular verb.
Example:
- Habibie and ainun has reached Top 3 Best movie indonesia.

I can also play games via mobile phone, photographed with close relatives and take a photo of the moment that wonderful..With carry a cell phone, I can also read the news easily via mobile phones. And many more usability handpone when I take it wherever I go. Maybe it was the reason why I have to carry a cell phone with me wherever I go.

And secondly, I always carried items are watches. why did I choose a watch? Because I felt very confident when I wear a watch. In addition, I also can see the time easily without looking at the phone or by asking someone. and another reason why I chose watches, other than we can see the time very easily. 5 Tense

last Thursday I had just studied the types of tenses, and I will also tell you the formula tenses. and the first one:

1. Simple Present Tense
This tense is used to express the action habits, routines, or general facts.

(+) S + V1 (s / es)
(-) S + Do / Do + not + V1
(?) Do / Do + S + V1 +?

means:
S = Subject (I, you, they, we, she, he, it)
V1 = Verb 1 (study, open, etc.) If the subject is third person singular (she, he, it) we add "s" or "es".
Do / Does = Auxiliary Verb.
I, you, they, we, use "Do"; She, he it, use "Does".

For example:
-She Makes the cake.
-they Do not open the door.
-Does It open the door?

2. Simple Past Tense
a simple form of the verb to indicate that an event occurred in the past.

(+) S + V2
(-) S + Did Not + V1 +
(?) Did + S + V1 +?

For example:

-The Party started at 10:00 a.m.
-Did You enough sleep last night?

3. Present / Continuous Tense
form of the verb used to express the action that is now in progress or planned in the future.

(+) S + Be + V ing
(-) S + Be + Not + V ing
(?) Be + S + V + ing?

(V ing = Verb + ing)
(Be = Auxiliary Verb)

Subject

4. Simple Future Tense
a form of the verb used to express that an action happens in the future, spontaneous or planned.

More example (actually some assignment from my college teacher):

2. They have started the course. (Present Perfect Tense)
3. Ana and Linda were opening the account. (Past Continuous Tense)

and thanks for reading :)

Okay I'll share a little knowledge about the use of the word "In," On, And "At". sometimes we wonder use the word, In, On, and At, and sometimes we also continue to make mistakes in words menggunanakan In, On and At.
For example:
- Kenta was born in 1998.
- Kenta was born on February 23th.
- Kenta was born at 9:15 AM.

it may be one common example that we often find in the environment around us, I will briefly describe the sense of each word In, On, and At.

'' In '' is used when we only mention the city and the country, so it was used for public places.
For example:
-We stayed in Pontianak.
-He worked in jakarta.
-they had studied in the city of london.

'' On '' is used to address or point mentioned is incomplete, so it is used to describe a place in the block, but it is not complete
For example:
-He lived on the street danau sentarum.
-I work at the post office.
-I want to eat in Lamongan.

'' At '' is used to indicate the place is said to complete.
For example:
-I live on the road east bekasi 2 no.17a.
-He studied at SMK 3 Pontianak.
-We'll meet at the coffee shop Pontianak.

Well, it's probably a little explanation about the use of the word In, On, and At.
And thanks for reading :)
